March (Women's History Month) March 1, 2009 - Leslie will be a guest speaker on KISS-FM 98.7 in New York City at 7:30 A.M to discuss the empowerment seminar on March 7, 2009. Leslie is looking for 100 girls and young women to come to this free empowerment seminar.
March 7, 2009 - EMPOWERMENT SEMINAR AND BOOKSIGNING: Sponsored by My Sistah's Keeper at the Wise Women Center at Essex County College, 303 University Avenue, Newark, NJ. The time is 2-5 P.M. Admission is free. Leslie will discuss the following themes: It takes a village, tapping into your inner resources, what's missing in the lives of black children today. There will be an affirmation circle for young girls conducted by Caryl Lucas. Leslie will personally sign books at the end of the event.
March 23, 2009 - Leslie will speak with a group of girls incarcerated in Bordentown through the Juvenile Justice Commission. Leslie will conduct a group session to discuss several chapters in the book. This session is only open to girls incarcertated at the center.
March 28, 2009 - Self-publishing class. The cost is $60.00 and will include lunch and snack, complete package of handouts and instructions on self-publishing. The time is 12-5 PM. Location will be given to those who register to take the class. You may register on the home page by clicking on "Register for self-publishing class." November 10, 2007 - Book signing at the Financial and Entrepreneur Empowerment Luncheon. Keynote speaker is Alfred Edmond, Vice-President and Editor of Black Enterprise Magazine. Event begins at 1 PM. Event will be held at A Touch of Class by Candlelite, 3001 Route 130, South Delran, NJ.
November 23, 2007 - Book signing at MURC Annual Fundraiser, "Uniting Communities of Neptune and Asbury Park." For this year's Annual Fundraiser, MURC will be honoring the West Side Community Center of Asbury Park for 65 years of service to the community. Location: Jumping Brook Country Club in Neptune, from 8 PM - 12 midnight. Come on out the day after Thanksgiving! There will be food, dancing, vendors, and yours truly, Leslie, selling her book, "How Ya Like Me Now!"

March 16, 2007 - Leslie will speak with youth at the annual career day sponsored byThe Burlington County Junior Human Relations Commission on Friday, March 16, 2007 from 9:00 am-11:30 am at the Burlington County Human Services Facility, located at 795 Woodlane Road in Westampton, New Jersey. Leslie will share her experiences and talk about the importance of making positive choices, setting goals, moving forward, and believing in one's ability to succeed. Leslie will appear in honor of Women's Month.
March 26, 2007 - Leslie will appear as a guest on a radio station in Plainfield, New Jersey. She will be interviewed about her book --- what inspired her to write it, how she's using it to inspire young people, and other pertinent subject matters.

April 7, 2007 - Leslie will meet with a group of girls -- juvenile delinquents and pregnant teens -- at a group home in Staten Island, New York, at 6 P.M. The girls will have the opportunity to buy the books beforehand and discuss it with Leslie during her appearance.
April 14, 2007, 12 noon to 3 PM, Leslie will serve as the keynote speaker at an event entitled "Parent's Time," at Affairs Restaurant, 727 Bergen Avenue,Jersey City, NJ. This event is sponsored by Horizon Health Center, 777 Bergen Avenue, Jersey City, NJ.

June 22, 2007, 1:00 P.M. - Leslie will serve as the keynote speaker at the graduation ceremony at the Staten Island Girls Home in Staten Island, New York. Leslie will address the girls and their families.
June 29, 2007 - Leslie will conduct a book signing at the conference of the National Assembly on School-Based Health Care in Washington, D.C.

July 14, 2007: Leslie will talk about her book with the women at The First Baptist Church in Riverhead, Long Island, New York. Reverend Charles Coverdale is the pastor.
July 25, 2007: Leslie will sell her book at the Harlem Book Fair in Harlem, NY.
